A) From Paris :
Motorway A11 Paris-Le Mans-Angers .
At first, from Paris, take Motorway A10 direction Orleans /
Tours / BORDEAUX until motorway toll St. Arnoult ( situated at
50 kms. from Paris ). These initial 50 km are common to both
motorways, the A10 and to A11.
After these initial 50 km you have the choice by taking the
motorway A10 or the motorway A11. Both Motorways lead to the
castle almost same distances.
If you choose the Motorway A11, at the St. Arnoult toll you
follow direction Chartres- Le Mans- Angers.
You carry on this A11 to Le Mans ( km 200 from Paris initial
departure point) and then Angers ( km 280 from Paris).
Arriving ( just about 8 km BEFORE ) at Angers, you must quit the
A11, and look for the Exit leading to the new motorway A87
direction Niort / Poitiers / La Rochelle / Cholet La Roche-sur-
Yon.
You skirt round south the city Angers by about 15 km ( heavy
traffic in this section with speed limits).
You enter in the A87 and carry on for about 100 km, and then be
careful and divert to the A83 southwards direction Niort /
Poitiers / Fontenay-le-Comte ( not Nantes).
You follow this A83 until Exit n° 7 : Ste HERMINE ( 420 km from
Paris initial departure point).
After the toll, you follow the same road indications details
below.
B) From Paris (direction Orleans-Tours-Poitiers) or from
Bordeaux : Motorway A10.
At first, from Paris, take Motorway A10 direction Orleans /

Coming from Bordeaux (motorway A10 ), you have to carry on
northwards until exit sign A83 motorway direction Nantes.

C) From Nantes : Motorway A83
Take the A83 motorway southwards, direction Niort, until Exit n°
7 : Ste. Hermine.

D) From La Rochelle to La
Cacaudière castle.
Look at the outskirts of La
Rochelle for the road A11 ( E601) signposted (Poitiers-Nantes-Niort)
Continue the A11--E601 road for about 8 kms. Branch right,then
at roundabout take the exit onto N 137 (E 03)
signposted Nantes / Marans.
Continue forward onto the N 137 ( E 03) ( passing
Marans--Chaillé-les-Marais--Moreilles ) up to Sainte Hermine.
In Ste Hermine, at the roundabout with the monument dedicated to
Clemenceau, turn right around the monument, direction Ste.
Hermine downtown. Follow the the same road indications details
