A) From Paris : Motorway A11 Paris – Le Mans – Angers
At first, from Paris, take Motorway A10 / A11 direction Orléans / Tours / Bordeaux until motorway toll St. Arnoult (situated 50 km South from Paris ).
After the toll of St. Arnoult take the A11 direction Chartres – Le Mans (200 km from Paris) and Angers (280 km from Paris).
Arriving at Angers (just about 8 km BEFORE), you must quit the A11, and look for the Exit leading to the new motorway A87 direction Niort / Poitiers / La Rochelle / Cholet / La Roche-sur-Yon.
You skirt round south the city Angers by about 15 km (heavy traffic in this section with speed limits).
You enter in the A87 and carry on for about 100 km, and then be careful and divert to the A83 southwards direction Niort / Poitiers / Fontenay-le-Comte (not Nantes).
You follow this A83 until Exit n° 7: Sainte-Hermine (420 km from Paris initial departure point).
After the toll take the D137 until Sainte-Hermine and follow the road indications details below.

B) From Paris (direction Orléans – Tours – Poitiers) or from Bordeaux: Motorway A10.
Coming from Bordeaux (motorway A10 ), you have to carry on northwards until exit sign A83 motorway direction Nantes.
Coming from Paris you may also take the motorway A10 direction Orléans – Tours – Poitiers, and some few km before Niort you leave the A10 motorway and divert to A83 motorway direction Nantes.
Follow this A83 until Exit n° 7: Sainte-Hermine.
After the toll take the D137 until Sainte-Hermine and follow the road indications details below.

C) From Nantes via motorway A83
Take the A83 motorway southwards, direction Niort, until Exit n° 7: Sainte-Hermine.
After the toll take the D137 until Sainte-Hermine and follow the road indications details below.

D) From La Rochelle to la Cacaudière castle.
Look at the outskirts of La Rochelle for the road A11 (E601) signposted (Poitiers – Nantes – Niort).
Continue the A11- E601 road for about 8 kms. Branch right, then at roundabout take the exit onto D137 signposted Nantes / Marans.
Continue forward onto the D137 (passing Marans - Chaillé-les-Marais - Moreilles) up to Sainte-Hermine.
Then follow the road indications details below.

Once arrived in Sainte-Hermine, after the round about with the monument dedicated to Clemenceau, continue on the D137 direction Chantonnay. At the end of the village turn right on the D148, and later on the D8, direction La Caillère. You will drive through the village of Thiré.
In all circumstances you have to reach La Caillère, approximately 18 km away from St. Hermine.
At the end of the village of la Caillère take the D19 until Thouarsais-Bouildroux.
Arriving at the Thouarsais-Bouildroux village take the D39 road direction Saint-Cyr-des-Gâts, and carry on for about 800 m. La Cacaudière will be on your left side.
